Repair Warranty & Refund Policy

At HQ Computer Repair, we stand behind the quality of our work and strive to provide the best service possible.

Repair Warranty

  • All repairs include a 30-Day Limited Labor Warranty, unless otherwise stated.
  • New replacement parts are covered by the manufacturer's warranty when applicable.
  • Warranty covers defects in parts installed by HQ Computer Repair and workmanship only.
  • Warranty does not cover:
    • Physical damage
    • Liquid damage
    • Power surges
    • Virus or malware infections after service
    • Customer misuse or accidental damage
    • Damage caused by another repair shop or unauthorized repairs

Parts Availability

Many replacement parts are sourced from third-party manufacturers.

Although a part may be brand new, manufacturing defects can occasionally occur.

If this happens:

  • We will replace the defective part at no additional labor charge (if covered under warranty).
  • Replacement depends on supplier approval and shipping times.
  • Customers agree to allow reasonable time for the warranty replacement process.
  • We appreciate your patience while we obtain the replacement part.

Our Commitment

If a replacement part is defective, we stand behind our work.

Whenever possible, we will replace it with an equal or higher-quality part.

We do not replace working parts with lower-quality or downgraded components.

Refunds on Repairs

Because repair services involve labor and installed parts:

  • Labor charges are non-refundable once work has begun.
  • Installed special-order parts are non-refundable.
  • Refunds are evaluated only when a repair cannot be completed and no parts have been installed.

Refurbished Computer & Device Sales Policy

All refurbished equipment is professionally tested, cleaned, and inspected before sale.

Warranty

Every refurbished item includes the warranty period specified on your invoice.

The warranty covers hardware defects under normal use.

Warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage
  • Cracked screens
  • Water or liquid damage
  • Electrical damage
  • Software installed by the customer
  • Viruses or malware
  • Accidental damage
  • Normal wear and tear

Returns

Customers may return eligible refurbished products within the approved return period.

To qualify:

  • Product must be returned in the same condition.
  • All accessories must be included.
  • No physical or liquid damage.
  • Original receipt is required.

Restocking Fee

Approved returns are subject to:

  • $85 Processing Fee
  • 20% Restocking Fee

Shipping charges (if any) are non-refundable.

Exchanges

If a product develops a verified hardware defect during the warranty period:

  • We will repair or replace the product.
  • If replacement is necessary, we may provide an equivalent model or a higher-performance model when available.
  • We do not provide downgrades.
  • Customers may pay the price difference to upgrade to a higher-value product.
